Make Music Day

Make Music Day, also known as Fête de la Musique, is an annual, free celebration of music that takes place on June 21st. It's a worldwide event where people in over 1,000 cities across 120 countries participate in free music-making events. The day is meant to be a free-for-all, encouraging people of all ages, skill levels, and musical backgrounds to come together and share their music. The Park City Urban Beautification Project is a unique participatory community art based public health initiative in Bridgeport. The program is a collaboration between the Fairfield County Community Foundation, City of Bridgeport, OPED, LifeBridge Community Services, Ground Work Bridgeport, Skateport, Downtown Special Services District as well as local artists. The Park City Urban Beautification Project represents an out-of- the-box approach to address deeply entrenched individual and neighborhood challenges.
